Mission Statement
Visionary Arts & Media's mission is to help
shape a more peaceful and joyful world by bringing together an
international network of healers, artists, musicians, writers,
and activists to create transformational media: media that educates,
informs, and empowers. In 2004, Visionary Arts & Media's
first documentary, Truth is Power, was released on
DVD, a film featuring the world's most progressive leaders (Al
Gore, U.S. Sen. Robert Byrd, the Dalai Lama, Howard Zinn, Noam
Chomsky, U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Helen Caldicott, M.D., Robert
Geiger, M.D., Gore Vidal, and others) and calling for sanity,
peace, global disarmament, environmental protection, universal
education and health care, and public oversight of corporations
and media conglomerates. We are currently working on two important
projects: A documentary called Deflating the Elephant,
based on the ideas of George Lakoff; and Youth
Empowering Youth: Student Films for Social Change .
